Police have announced a significant development four days since the disappearance of Victorian woman Samantha Murphy.

Samantha Murphy's friend and Ballarat Centre of Music and the Arts director Paula Heenan spoke with Raf Epstein on ABC Radio Melbourne on Wednesday morning.
