Sarah Gerathy

Sarah Gerathy is one of the ABC's New South Wales political reporters, covering the thrills and spills of Macquarie Street. She has charted the political fallout from the biggest corruption inquiry in the state's history, reported on the downfall of former Premier Nathan Rees and traced the O'Farrell Government's fortunes in its first term in office.

Sarah cut her teeth in the ABC's Sydney newsroom in 2004 in the decidedly unglamorous role of copygirl for the 7pm TV news, before moving onwards and upwards to cover major breaking stories as a reporter for radio news and current affairs. She has also read the news on triple j, worked as a sub-editor and international news producer and produced TV news at ABC News 24.
