Conor Byrne is a newsroom reporter with ABC Far North in Cairns, Queensland.
He was a journalist in the Northern Territory since 2009 at the Palmerston Sun, the NT News, and at ABC Radio Darwin.
He is from Dublin in the Republic of Ireland and lives in the hinterland with his Australian wife and two children.
Conor holds a Masters in Journalism from Dublin Institute of Technology and a Bachelors of Technology in Wood Science and Technology from the University of Limerick.
