A father has been remanded in custody after he allegedly attacked his infant child in central Queensland.
Police say the seven-week-old baby was taken to hospital on Tuesday with significant injuries, leading to an investigation.
On Wednesday the child's father, a 23-year-old Bowen Basin man, was charged with one count of grievous bodily harm.
He appeared in a magistrates' court today and was remanded in custody.
He is expected to face court again in November.
